Longtime WPRO-A/F/PROVIDENCE Chief Engineer EGIDIO "ED" POLICASTRI passed YESTERDAY at 84 years old. The 1953 graduate of BROWN UNIVERSITY was Chief Engineer at WPRO and taught electronics and radio broadcasting at RISE and JOHNSON & WALES.
A memorial service will be held on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5th at 1:30p at HOLY TRINITY CHURCH, 1956 Main Road, TIVERTON, RI. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the AMERICAN RADIO RELAY LEAGUE, www.arrl.org/forms/development/donations/memorial in memory of EGIDIO J. POLICASTRI, call sign W1KUQ.
