NASHVILLE PUBLIC RADIO noncommercial WPLN-F/NASHVILLE is dropping Classical music from its daytime programming, loading up on News and Talk programming and relegating the Classical shows to evenings. The new lineup, starting TODAY (9/8), includes "ON POINT," "HERE AND NOW," "FRESH AIR" and "TALK OF THE NATION" in the midday hours formerly occupied by music.
Classical music will remain available during the day on WPLN-F's HD2 multicast channel; some of the Talk programming being added by WPLN-F is moving from sister Talk WPLN-A, which will add other NPR and national programming to fill the schedule.
