Ellison Tapped To Head FCC Enforcement Bureau

FCC Chairman JULIUS GENACHOWSKI has named the Commission’s Deputy General Counsel P. MICHELE ELLISON as Chief of the Enforcement Bureau, effective SEPTEMBER 28th. ELLISON has been in her present position for the last 12 years and served as Acting General Counsel through JULY. She has also served as Transition Counsel to Commissioner MIGNON CLYBURN.
"Protecting and empowering consumers through effective and timely enforcement of the Commission’s rules and policies is a top priority for the FCC," said GENACHOWSKI. "MICHELE is a talented leader with vast communications experience and sound legal judgment and I look forward to working with her in her new capacity."
