Former Congressman Traficant To Fill In At WKBN

Fresh out of prison, former Congressman JAMES TRAFICANT will be guest-hosting the 10a-noon show MONDAY (9/14) at CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WKBN-A/YOUNGSTOWN, OH, filling in for PD DAN RIVERS, according to OHIO MEDIA WATCH. RIVERS told the BUSINESS JOURNAL DAILY's STACIA ERDES that TRAFICANT has "hosted the show a number of times in the past. He's pretty capable."

The YOUNGSTOWN VINDICATOR notes that TRAFICANT did a fill-in stint for mornings at WKBN MAY 29th-JUNE 1st, 2001 and also filled in in DECEMBER 2000, all before he entered prison after his conviction for racketeering, bribery, obstruction of justice and tax evasion. He was released from prison SEPTEMBER 2nd.
