Johnny Reid Wins Five Canadian CMA Awards

Reid Accepts CCMA Award

The CANADIAN COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS were held last night (9/13) in VANCOUVER at GM PLACE, and JOHNNY REID was the night's big winner. REID took home five awards, and newcomers DEAN BRODY and TARA ORAM each received their first CCMA award.

MARTINA McBRIDE, REBA McENTIRE, AARON PRITCHETT and PAUL BRANDT with HIGH VALLEY were among the performers at the show, which was hosted by actor/director JASON PRIESTLEY. REBA has posted a video blog from backstage at the CCMAs on her YOUTUBE channel, which fans can see by clicking here.

• Male Artist of the Year: JOHNNY REID

• Group or Duo of the Year: DOC WALKER

• Roots Artist or Group of the Year: CORB LUND

• Rising Star: TARA ORAM

• Fans' Choice Award: JOHNNY REID
