CHEVY, which sponsors the CMA (COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION), kicked off the salute to "AMERICA's HEROES" over the weekend (9/11-9/13) at the CHEVY ROCK & ROLL 400 NASCAR race in RICHMOND, VA.
CHEVY has launched a new website, www.youreverydayhero.com, where people can nominate friends or family members who serve in the military that have overcome obstacles, inspired others and who have positively impacted their country and community.
Friends and family of the service members can submit a video or written essay to the website, and in early OCTOBER, five finalists will be chosen for the public to vote on which story inspires them the most. By voting online, you also have a chance to win a VIP trip for two to a 2010 NASCAR race.
The winning service member and his or her family will win a trip to the 43rd Annual CMA AWARDS, held in NASHVILLE on NOVEMBER 11th and will also get to meet DALE EARNHARDT, JR. The awards will be broadcast live from the SOMMET CENTER in MUSIC CITY at 8p (ET) on ABC-TV.
