The NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL (NSAI) will hold its annual SONGWRITER ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18th. The awards are handed out as part of the NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME (NaSHOF) FOUNDATION's 39th anniversary gala, which takes place that night at the RENAISSANCE HOTEL in MUSIC CITY.
NSAI will present SHOW DOG/NASHVILLE star TOBY KEITH with the "Songwriter/Artist Of The Decade" award, and hit songwriter CRAIG WISEMAN will be honored as the "Songwriter Of The Decade." WISEMAN is known for penning songs like "The Good Stuff" and "Summertime" by KENNY CHESNEY, "Believe" by BROOKS & DUNN and "Live Like You Were Dying" by TIM McGRAW.
NSAI will also present the list of "10 Songs I Wish I'd Written." The list and the awards are chosen by NSAI members. Concurrently, NaSHOF will be honoring songwriters KYLE FLEMING, MARK D. SANDERS and the late TAMMY WYNETTE as their 2009 inductees. For ticket info, contact MARK FORD at hotfix@nashvillesongwriters.com or call (615) 256-3354.
