CBS' Nagler To Receive RTNDF First Amendment Service Award

CBS NEWS VP/Radio HARVEY NAGLER will be honored with the RADIO AND TELEVISION NEWS DIRECTORS FOUNDATION's First Amendment Service Award at the RTNDF's 20th annual First Amendment Awards Dinner on MARCH 4th, 2010 in WASHINGTON. ABC NEWS Pres. DAVID WESIN will receive the First Amendment Leadership Award and NBC NIGHTLY NEWS Anchor/Managing Editor BRIAN WILLIAMS will be honored with the LEONARD ZEIDENBERG First Amendment Award at the dinner.
"The RTNDF First Amendment Award honorees represent the best effort of individuals, companies and groups keeping alive one of our most basic American freedoms,” RTNDF Chairman ED ESPOSITO said. ”The First Amendment stands as a beacon of light to the world, where we continue to see the power of freedom of expression in shaping communities across the globe. It is our honor to recognize these electronic journalists for their personal and professional commitment, dedication and passion to the First Amendment."
NAGLER was named to his present post in JANUARY 1998 and has led the network to numerous awards during his tenure; he previously served as Dir./News and Programming for WCBS-A/NEW YORK, VP/News and Sports at UNITED STATIONS RADIO NETWORKS, and Dir./News Operations for RKO RADIO NETWORK.
