Ancliff Named General Counsel/Int'l At WMG

Ancliff Joins

WARNER MUSIC GROUP has named CHRIS ANCLIFF, formerly General Counsel, EMI GROUP, as their General Counsel/International. In this newly created position, ANCLIFF will report to EVP/General Councel PAUL ROBINSON. He will be based in LONDON.

In making the announcement, ROBINSON said, "I’ve had the opportunity to work with CHRIS on some very significant matters over the past six years. His breadth of experience, his legal acumen, his managerial skills and his integrity make him a perfect fit for this new and wide-ranging role. He is a highly respected figure within the music community and I believe he will add immense value in overseeing our international legal and business affairs functions at a time when those functions are on the forefront of establishing innovative business models, forging new commercial relationships and building expanded partnerships with our recording artists and songwriters. I am delighted to appoint someone of CHRIS’s caliber to this important position."
