Longtime Record Promoter Buzz Ledford Passes, Funeral Info Set

Sad news on MUSIC ROW as we have learned about the passing of longtime record promoter BUZZ LEDFORD. BUZZ was reportedly rushed to VANDERBILT HOSPITAL in NASHVILLE on FRIDAY evening, SEPTEMBER 25th after suffering a brain aneurysm. He passed YESTERDAY (09/27), and he was believed to have been 62.

LEDFORD worked in promotion for many years at the former STEP ONE RECORDS, which was owned by producer RAY PENNINGTON. In the early part of this decade LEDFORD was working in sales at GAYLORD BROADCASTING's WSM-A/NASHVILLE. 

Visitation will be at MARSHALL DONNELLY COMBS in NASHVILLE on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1st from 4-8p (CT), and the funeral will take place on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3rd at St. HENRY CATHOLIC CHURCH. For info call (615) 327-1111.
