WCVZ Now Hits Columbus

WHIZ MEDIA GROUP AC WCVZ (Z92)/ZANESVILLE, OH and Country WHIZ (HIGHWAY 102)/ZANESVILLE are switching call letters, as a result of a move that brings a new signal to the COLUMBUS market. WCVZ's call letters, originally on 92.7 FM, now switch over to 102.5 FM. 92.7 takes on the WHIZ call letters.

The new WCVZ has signed on from a new tower, licensed to BALTIMORE, OH, near COLUMBUS, adding a new signal in that market TODAY (10/1).

The call letters of WHIZ (102.5) now rejoin its former format on 92.7 FM, and that station will continue to serve the ZANESVILLE area, along with co-owned WHIZ-A.
