THE WALL STREET JOURNAL THIS MORNING with GORDON DEAL has added a fifth hour at 9-10a ET to allow for breaking financial and general news after the East Coast markets open, particularly for stations in the Mountain and Pacific time zones. CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KNRS-A (FREEDOM 570)/SALT LAKE CITY is the first to clear the new hour. The show airs live 5-7a and repeats with fresh headlines and news stories 7-10a ET.
"Our job is to break the stories great Talk stations will spend their day debating," said THE WALL STREET JOURNAL RADIO NETWORK Exec. Dir. NANCY ABRAMSON. "With more stations airing THE WALL STREET JOURNAL THIS MORNING throughout morning drive, adding a 9a ET hour with live market updates when the U.S. markets are open allows us to expand upon what we do best."
"We’re a business-news and information program for winning Talk stations that want to start their day with fast-paced, compelling, original information and the power of THE WALL STREET JOURNAL brand. In short, we entertain with information, added ABRAMSON.
