The station former TV station owner EDDIE EDWARDS is buying to return the Urban format to PITTSBURGH turns out to be LANGER BROADCASTING Talk WPYT-A/WILKINSBURG, a 1,400-watt days/88-watt nights station with a signal that covers the metro by day but not by night. 

EDWARDS announced the $450,000 deal MONDAY (10/5) and said that he expects to launch the new format by JANUARY. The deal is EDWARDS' reaction to the sale of WAMO-A/F to a religious broadcaster, thus closing the stations' long history of local Urban programming.
