CLEAR CHANNEL Country WMZQ/WASHINGTON, D.C. PD MEG STEVENS has announced that sister WCOL/COLUMBUS afternoon personality JOE BOXER has joined the station for morning drive. JOE replaces BRIAN EGAN, who exited last month (NET NEWS 9/29).
STEVENS tells ALL ACCESS that morning co-host JENNI CHASE, who remained on the morning show after EGAN exited, will continue working for the station in an unspecified capacity.
In addition to afternoon drive at WCOL, JOE also does middays for sister Top 40 WNCI, point-to-point tracking for several markets, and he is afternoon host on CLEAR CHANNEL's Premium Choice Mainstream Country. While in D.C., JOE will continue voice-tracking afternoons at WCOL.
STEVENS said: "JOE's experience, drive, attention to detail and passion for Country music will make a great addition to WMZQ."
JOE's first day will be MONDAY, OCTOBER 26th.
