So, what's DON IMUS making from his TV simulcast? Two prominent news blogs are reporting sources telling them two widely divergent figures for IMUS' compensation for the simulcast of his CITADEL MEDIA show on FOX BUSINESS CHANNEL.
The HUFFINGTON POST's DANNY SHEA pegs IMUS' compensation at about $3 million, contradicting the rival DAILY BEAST's LLOYD GROVE, who put the figure at more than $25 million, which he said was the amount RFD-TV had paid for IMUS's show.
Either way, the deal offers IMUS' show national exposure on cable, which the show has for the most part enjoyed since starting a simulcast on MSNBC in 1996 that ended with the RUTGERS women's basketball controversy and CBS RADIO cancellation in 2007; RFD-TV carried the show from its DECEMBER 2007 return to radio through earlier this year.
