BOBBIE DOOLEY is back at the helm of the Western Estates Homeowners Association. TED BELL is ready to take credit for inventing foil-wrapped baked potatoes again, and BUD DICKMAN is on hand to cluelessly cause the host headaches.
All of those folks are, in reality, PHIL HENDRIE, and they're all back as the TALK RADIO NETWORK evening host is bringing back his large cast of fictional characters. HENDRIE is resuming his classic talk radio satire after two years of doing a relatively straight talk show for TRN and resurrecting his characters, including crotchety veteran LLOYD BONAFIDE, DOUG DANGER ("as a gay man and a journalist..."), attorney HARVEY WIREMAN, columnist ("A Little Bird Told Me") MARGARET GREY, serial litigant STEVE BOZELL, teenager R.C. COLLINS, and many more.
"Radio needs alternative programming, like my show, now more than ever," said HENDRIE. "Having the advantage of communicating compelling and outrageous points of view through these characters is an opportunity no other host has."
While doing a "regular" talk show, HENDRIE has been maintaining a BOBBIE DOOLEY FACEBOOK page with in-character posts interacting with fans. His characters, all of whom he voices, take outrageous positions that draw calls from listeners who aren't in on the joke.
