'Co-Host Idol' Makes A Big Splash At The Breeze/Ft. Myers

VERO BEACH BROADCASTERS AC WGYL (THE BREEZE)/FT. PIERCE, FL has chosen its new Morning show co-host. After over eight weeks of contesting, the listeners have spoken and selected KAREN MECHLING as the new "Co-host Idol."

Local listeners participated in 22 live morning show auditions, two rounds of online voting, and over 2,000 total votes. MECHLING won a vacation to LAS VEGAS and bragging rights as 'Co-Host Idol 2009' on 93.7 THE BREEZE.

This brainchild of Promotions and Marketing Dir. JUSTIN TABAS, "Co-host Idol" generated massive amounts of free press and exposure through the local newspapers and top local websites. The contest also quadrupled the station's website hits, doubled its FACEBOOK fans, and created a buzz in the community .
