Mix Exits And Cat Goes Airborne In Miami

BEASLEY Top 40/Rhythmic WPOW (POWER 96)/MIAMI makes news as longtime MD EDDIE MIX exits the station. WPOW OM/PD TOM CALOCOCCI is handling all music calls for now.

Also at WPOW, in the wake of THURSDAYS (10/15) COLORADO balloon drama, THE DJ LAZ MORNING SHOW wanted to find out how many helium balloons it would take to get a cat airborne. Morning show producer BIG AL got up to 24 balloons when the cat and the balloons got away from BIG AL and took off into the MIAMI morning sky.

After fielding a morning full of hate calls and some calls in support of the work LAZ and the show do for the community, THE DJ LAZ MORNING SHOW copped to the cat being LAZ' daughter's stuffed cat as a caller threatened to never listen to POWER 96 and informed LAZ that she had already called the police on him and the morning show. LAZ gave the caller $100 for being the day's angriest caller.
