WMJC Eliminates All 'Angels' From Their Playlist

BARNSTABLE GROUP Hot AC WMJC/LONG ISLAND will not play any song with "Angel" in the title until the conclusion of the 2009 AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES between THE NEW YORK YANKEES, and the LOS ANGELES ANGELS.

WMJC PD JON DANIELS commented, "We’re standing by THE YANKEES, and as they try to eliminate THE ANGELS, we felt we should do our part by going ahead and eliminating the 'ANGELS' from WMJC.

The ANGELS have some good players, and there are similarly quite a few good songs with ‘ANGELS' that we won’t be playing for as long as the YANKEES are playing them. Removed titles include 'Angel' by AEROSMITH, 'Calling All Angels' by TRAIN, 'Lips Of An Angel' by HINDER, 'Angel' by SHAGGY, 'Angel Of Harlem' by U2, and 'Angel' by MADONNA."
