Filing Window Set For New Noncomm FMs

The FCC's Media Bureau is opening a filing window for applications for noncommercial educational FM new station construction permits.   The window is available for existing, vacant reserved noncommercial FM allotments in the non-reserved (otherwise commercial) portion of the FM band.  The window will open on DECEMBER 11th and close on DECEMBER 18th. 

All applications affecting the 67 open allotments have been frozen immediately, with the freeze terminating the day after the window closes.  In addition, all FM commercial and noncommercial minor change applications are also being frozen from 11:59p ET NOVEMBER 25th until the close of the other window.
