105.7 Gets Its Groove On

As first hinted on ALL ACCESS, CLEAR CHANNEL Spanish Adult Contemporary WWVA (VIVA 105.7)/ATLANTA has morphed into a Gold-based Rhythmic AC station THE GROOVE @105.7, which the press release described as "Your iPOD set on random fun."

Calling itself "ATLANTA's NEW MAXIMUM MUSIC STATION, THE GROOVE @ 105.7," the station kicked off with MADONNA's/Get Into The Groove, followed by PEACHES & HERB/Shake Your Groove Thing, then DEE-LITE/Groove Is In The Heart, followed by EW&F/Let's Groove. The station is airing 10,000 songs in a row.

For now the calls remain WWVA, but the new site is www.getintothegroove.com, and you can listen when you click here.

Meanwhile, CLEAR CHANNEL has subsequently combined VIVA 105.7's Hispanic AC sound with Regional Mexican WBZY (EL PATRON) to create one Spanish super-station in ATLANTA on the 105.3 frequency.
