BLEVE RECORDS will release the compilation album "My First Ride," on NOVEMBER 1st, benefiting the FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE (FOP) and the INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIREFIGHTERS' (IAFF) DISASTER RELIEF FUNDS.
The CD includes the previously released title track, recorded by the legendary RONNIE MILSAP and CAPITOL/NASHVILLE's TRACE ADKINS. When the song was released as a single on SEPTEMBER 1st, BLEVE was given a "cease and desist" order by CAPITOL the use of TRACE's performance and name, as well as "the dilution of CAPITOL's valuable property." BLEVE chose to continue its promotion of the single, even though CAPITOL threatened legal action.
Other artists included in the "My First Ride" compilation are VINCE GILL, GEORGE STRAIT, JOHN MICHAEL MONTGOMERY, The BACON BROTHERS, JAMES OTTO, MIKE REID and more.
BLEVE President and retired METRO NASHVILLE police officer MICKEY MILAM said: "We are extremely excited to have such high caliber artists contribute songs for this project. We have a great mix of talent on this CD and an interesting story behind every song."
The album will available for sale at select retail outlets, through local chapters of the FOP and IAFF and at www.blevemusic.com.
