The FCC's Media Bureau has sent a mutually exclusive group of applications for a new noncommercial FM station in OKLAHOMA to the full Commission, rescinding a previous grant of a construction permit to SOUTH CENTRAL OKLAHOMA CHRISTIAN BROADCASTING, INC. for CHICKASHA, OK.
Competing applicant NORMAN UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST FELLOWSHIP challenged the grant based on SOUTH CENTRAL having failed to include a construction permit for KFXU/CHICKASHA in its determination for its claim of a fair distribution preference. The Media Bureau agreed that failing to account for KFXU was fatal to SOUTH CENTRAL's claim of a preference, and that its application, and those of NORMAN UNITARIAN (for DIBBLE, OK) and EDWARDS BROADCASTING (for ALEX, OK) will be sent to the full commission for a point determination.
