COX Dir./Top 40 Programming and WBLI/LONG ISLAND PD JEREMY "DON'T CALL ME J.J. DAMMIT" RICE and WBLI night goddess ASTRA have been working on a super secret mission -- to find and groom new air talent. And their work is about to pay off.
You've heard of cats that can actually use the toilet, cats that can open doors, cats that can drive a car, and cats that play piano ... But what about a cat that is on the air?
Introducing (drum roll please ... ) ASTRA's cat, JINGLES!
Yes, for weeks now, JEREMY and ASTRA have been training her cat JINGLES to actually run the board, talk on the air, and answer the request line. Due to NEW YORK STATE's cat employment laws JINGLES can only work weekends/part-time, but ASTRA is adopting two more kittens and she and JEREMY are going to be hard at work putting these two, as yet unnamed, future radio stars through their paces.
ALL ACCESS will let you know when JINGLES makes her debut, soon, on WBLI.
