UNIVISION RADIO/FLORIDA Business Mgr. ANSELMO "SAM" POTTER has pleaded guilty in to embezzling about $550,000 from his employer, reports THE MIAMI HERALD. POTTER pleaded guilty to six counts of wire fraud and faces between two and four years in prison.
He will be sentenced by U.S. District JUDGE PAUL HUCK on DECEMBER 30th.
Between DECEMBER 2004 AND JANUARY 2009, POTTER embezzled the money by writing more than 200 unauthorized checks and forging the signature of his supervisor. Assistant U.S. Attorney ANDREW LEVI said he used a special account to write the checks to himself and falsified bank statements to cover the theft.
