CENTRICITY MUSIC band DOWNHERE walked away the bigger winners at the 2009 COVENANT AWARDS last FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23rd. The band won Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year for ENDING IS BEGINNING, Song of the Year, Recorded Song of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year for "HERE I AM," Inspirational Song of the Year for "THE BEGGAR WHO GIVES ALMS," Rock Song of the Year for "MY LAST AMEN" and Seasonal Record of the Year for HOW MANY KINGS.
Other winners included NEWWORLDSON for Group of the Year, JOEL AUGE for Male Vocalist of the Year, POINT OF GRACE and songwriter CINDY MORGAN for Country/Bluegrass Song of the Year with "KING OF THE WORLD," MATT BROUWER for Folk/Roots Song of the Year with "THE OTHER SIDE" and HAWK NELSON for Modern Rock/Alternative Song of the Year with "LIFE LIVE LOUD."
