IAS, INC. signed on KTHO/LAKE TAHOE, NV on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24th. K-TAHOE will simulcast sister AM590 KTHO, which has been serving the market for 46 years, maintaining the Classic Rock and local News/Talk hybrid format.
As of last MARCH, the station is owned by DARRELL WAMPLER, better known as longtime KROQ broadcaster "INSANE DARRELL WAYNE" and LAKE TAHOE radio veterans PAUL MIDDLEBROOK, BILL KINGMAN and ED CROOK. K-TAHOE has made a commitment to the LAKE TAHOE community to bring it the news and information which will best serve its local population, businesses and the large LAKE TAHOE tourist base," VP/GM PAUL MIDDLEBROOK said. "Our combination of Classic Rock and our local News/Talk hits a very large demographic. Where many stations feel that it’s all about the music, we feel that it’s all about our local community."
"I am extremely proud of what we have been able to accomplish in spite of the current economic climate and hope to be the catalyst for community growth," WAMPLER said.
