CLEAR CHANNEL, CBS RADIO and EMMIS stations in NEW YORK CITY, as well as SIRIUS XM, AOL Radio and others are joining forces on a "Hungerthon" from NOVEMBER 21st-24th. They plan on raising awareness of the problem through an auction and a variety of on-air activities.
For its part, CBS RADIO Top 40 WXRK (92.3 NOW)/NEW YORK is recruiting local schools for a charity food drive, as the school that collects the most non-perishable food items will win a concert from JUSTIN BIEBER.
"This event is making a great difference in our communities while giving students the opportunity to exercise philanthropy," 92.3 NOW afternoon-drive talent TIC TAK said. For a full list of participating schools and more information, log onto http://923now.com.
