GM Ruth Seymour To Retire From KCRW

End Of An Era

Longtime SANTA MONICA COLLEGE noncommercial Triple A-News-Talk KCRW/SANTA MONICA-LOS ANGELES GM RUTH SEYMOUR is exiting the station after 32 years.  SEYMOUR announced her retirement, effective in FEBRUARY, in a press release TODAY (11/18).

"I am leaving a station that is strong in its identity, a station like no other in the country," said SEYMOUR in the release.  "It’s been an extraordinary privilege to serve as KCRW's General Manager -- a joy and source of great pride. That’s a pretty good note on which to say goodbye."

The station will launch a search for SEYMOUR's successor and expects the process to last several months.
