PREMIERE RADIO NETWORK and FOX NEWS CHANNEL host GLENN BECK continues to draw media attention, with his plans for a political tour featured in the NEW YORK TIMES this weekend. In an interview with the TIMES' BRIAN STELTER, BECK spoke of holding a series of seven "conventions" across the country registering voters and featuring libertarian speakers. "We’ll be looking for ways to get people involved in politics," BECK told the TIMES, remaining vague about details.
A spokesperson for liberal media "watchdog" group and frequent BECK critic MEDIA MATTERS FOR AMERICA told the TIMES that BECK "might just be trying to sell books, but there are much simpler ways to sell books," adding that BECK sounds more like a presidential candidate than a pundit.
