Report: Brandmeier Exiting WLUP

VOCALO.ORG's ROBERT FEDER is reporting that EMMIS Rock WLUP/CHICAGO morning man JONATHON BRANDMEIER is exiting the station.

BRANDMEIER, who signed a one-year, $1 million renewal in MARCH, was in his second run at THE LOOP, having hosted mornings from 1983-1997 and returning in 2005 after stints at KYSR (STAR 98.7) and KLSX/LOS ANGELES and WCKG/CHICAGO. FEDER reports that crosstown CITADEL Talk WLS-A and TRIBUNE Talk WGN-A are interested in BRANDMEIER's services; BRANDMEIER has three months left to go on his WLUP contract.
