WFNX Listeners Choose Top 101 Alternative Albums Of The Decade

Countdown Begins December 19th

As the clock ticks down on the rock era’s sixth decade, PHOENIX MEDIA Alternative WFNX/BOSTON is enlisting its listeners to select the best alternative rock albums released since 2000.

Listeners have already cast tens of thousands of votes on WFNX.com, using the website's "album generator." The animated application pits some four hundred of the decade’s albums in competition, and keeps a running tally of votes cast and percentages of head-to-head "battles" won by each album.

After two weeks of voting, RADIOHEAD’s "In Rainbows" is #1, followed closely by albums from ARCADE FIRE, SPOON, THE STROKES, THE WHITE STRIPES, VAMPIRE WEEKEND, FRANZ FERDINAND, MODEST MOUSE, MGMT, THE SHINS, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, INTERPOL and THE KILLERS. Voting will remain open until MONDAY, DECEMBER 14th. Check out the list at www.wfnx.com.
