Brian Taylor Crosses Hallway To Be 'Rush Radio' PD

CLEAR CHANNEL/RALEIGH has named Classic Hits WRVA (THE RIVER) PD BRIAN TAYLOR PD of current all-Christmas tunes WRDU (RUSH RADIO 106.1), which will unveil its new FM Talk format on JAN. 1st. OM CHRIS SHEBEL and WRVA APD/MD/middays SYBIL MCGUIRE will assume TAYLOR's programming duties on THE RIVER.

"We interviewed a lot of candidates with talk experience but when BRIAN came into the room to interview in front of a group that included news/talk experts, he demonstrated that good programming skills are far more important than talk vs. music," SHEBEL told the station staff. "His understanding of the direction we need to take RUSH RADIO was immediately apparent and we can expect an excellent launch and solid station."
