Condolences to family and friends of former FLORIDA radio station owner NORM PROTSMAN, who died SUNDAY (11/29) in ATHENS, GA at 88, according to the SUWANEE DEMOCRAT.
PROTSMAN bought WNER-A/LIVE OAK, FL in 1953 and owned WNER and WQHL-F (now a simulcast) until selling the combo to DAY COMMUNICATIONS in 1988. He also served as a President of the FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF BROADCASTERS and founded the SUWANEE RIVER JAMBOREE.
