BOONE BIBLICAL MINISTRIES, INC. has been slapped with a $20,000 fine by the FCC for public file violations at KFFF-A (formerly KFGQ-A) and KFFF-F/BOONE, IA. The licensee turned itself in, disclosing on a license renewal application that the quarterly issues-programs lists were missing; it subsequently found and replaced the lists, but the Commission fined the stations anyway.
CORNING COMMUNITY COLLEGE has been fined $500 by the Commission for a late license renewal application and unauthorized operation of noncommercial WCEB/CORNING, NY. The school said it inadvertently forgot to file a renewal in 2006; the fine was reduced from the proposed $7,000 for financial hardship and to keep it in line with comparable violations and stations.
And INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT #283 has been fined $250 for a late license renewal application for noncommercial KDXL/ST. LOUIS PARK, MN.
