BOSTON CELTICS radio play-by-play voice SEAN GRANDE is broadcasting his 1,000th NBA game TONIGHT as the CELTICS take on the SAN ANTONIO SPURS on ENTERCOM Sports WEEI-A/BOSTON. GRANDE has been the voice of the CELTICS since 2001 after three seasons as the TV voice of the MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES.
"SEAN is a tremendous talent and it’s been a real privilege for me to work with him for as long as I have," said ENTERCOM VP of AM Programming JASON WOLFE. "I think he’s one of the premier play by play broadcasters in the NBA, and to reach this incredible plateau is a tribute to his effort and hard work."
"The entire BOSTON CELTICS organization would like to congratulate SEAN on reaching this significant milestone," said CELTICS team president RICH GOTHAM. "His knowledge, insight, and preparation set the standard for play by play excellence across the NBA and have provided CELTICS fans throughout NEW ENGLAND with a consistently enjoyable, informative, and entertaining broadcast."
