Clear Channel Files To 'Streamline' Station Ownership

CLEAR CHANNEL has filed with the FCC for internal pro forma assignments of its stations that it tells the Commission will "streamline" the company's ownership of its licenses. The nine filings include assignment of the licenses of JACOR BROADCASTING CORP., JACOR BROADCASTING OF COLORADO, INC., and ACKERLEY BROADCASTING OPERATIONS, LLC to CITICASTERS LICENSES, INC.; CCB TEXAS LICENSES INC. to CC LICENSES, LLC; AMFM TEXAS LICENSES, LP to AMFM TEXAS LICENSES, LLC; and CAPSTAR TX LIMITED PARTNERSHIP to CAPSTAR TEXAS LLC. The company is also transferring ownership of CITICASTERS LICENSES, INC. (from JACOR COMMUNICATIONS CO.), AMFM BROADCASTING LICENSES, LLC (from AMFM, INC.), and AMFM RADIO LICENSES, LLC (also from AMFM, INC.) to CLEAR CHANNEL HOLDINGS, INC.
In other deals filed with the FCC, JAMISON-WOLF ENTERPRISES, INC. is selling Classic Hits KCWH/WEED, CA and FM translators K269AT/GRENADA, CA and K257CA/MOUNT SHASTA, CA to MARTIN HOWELL (morning host/PD RICK MARTIN)'s TRC ENTERPRISES, LLC for $455,000. The buyer took over the station under an LMA starting AUGUST 1st.
WIREGRASS MEDIA, LLC is selling FM translator W261AT/DOTHAN, AL to WOOF, INC. for $50,000.
And HORIZON CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP is selling K249DU/FLOYDADA, TX, W255BA/HASTINGS, MI, W243BH/MUSKEGON, MI, W219DG/SOUTH HAVEN. MI, and K210DV/DE QUEEN, AR to WORLD RADIO LINK, INC. for an aggregate $51,500.
