Trace Adkins Cast In New Series For Epix

CAPITOL/NASHVILLE artist TRACE ADKINS has been cast in "Tough Trade," the first original series pilot for the EPIX channel. EPIX is a multiplatform premium entertainment channel, video-on-demand and online service that launched OCTOBER 30th. It is currently distributed by VERIZON FiOS on Channel 395 in standard definition and Channel 895 in HD.

In the series, ADKINS will play a character named SCARED, the friend and bodyguard of LINWOOD TUCKER (played by SAM SHEPARD). SCARED follows his own code of honor and is known for his loyalty to the TUCKER family. He is both respected and featured throughout NASHVILLE.

The show is a "one-hour drama about a three-generation NASHVILLE music dynasty whose penchant for drink, debauchery and divorce has left them morally corrupt and on the verge of bankruptcy." Shooting began in MUSIC CITY this week, and the series will debut in 2010.
