Syndicated talk host NORMAN GOLDMAN has arranged a deal with sponsor USA COFFEE COMPANY to donate to the fund set up by the union representing the LAKEWOOD POLICE DEPARTMENT, indefinitely, $3 for every bag of coffee sold, to benefit the families of the four LAKEWOOD officers slain at a local coffeehouse. GOLDMAN donated commercial airtime to raise awareness of this tragedy and is taking no money from the venture with USA COFFEE COMPANY.
"This heinous crime that killed four police officers has broken the hearts of residents of NORTHWEST WASHINGTON and indeed throughout the country," said GOLDMAN. "While police professionals and others sort it out, we want to call attention to the families, who are continuing victims of these terrible tragedies. Each day police officers throughout AMERICA go to work while their families await their safe return.
"I want to thank TED MASSINELLO, President of USA COFFEE COMPANY, for his generosity in helping this worthwhile cause," added GOLDMAN. "His coffee is the only brand that is 100% American, union grown, and packaged in the USA. He has stepped up big time to support the families of these slain officers. I am proud to have him join in this effort."
MASSINELLO has also set a donation page on his web site, usacoffeecompany.com, and the union's website is taking donations directly at lpig.us, and more information is posted at GOLDMAN's website, normangoldman.com.
