WALR Extends Joyner's Contract Through 2011

COX Urban AC WALR (KISS 104.4)/ATLANTA has just signed a deal that will keep the syndicated TOM JOYNER SHOW in mornings through 2011. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the new contract could be up to five years. 

The move is seen by some as a possible defensive programming move to prevent JOYNER from going to WALR’s competition. JOYNER has been on WALR since 1955.
