ESPN RADIO is changing partners in SYRACUSE, where GALAXY COMMUNICATIONS will put the network on its WTLA-A, presently Adult Standards, and FM translator W249BC, presently rebroadcasting Alternative WKRL (K-ROCK), and also WSGO-A and W259AX/OSWEGO, NY (presently simulcasting WTLA), starting MARCH 5th, according to the SYRACUSE POST-STANDARD. ESPN RADIO will be moving from CITADEL Sports WNSS-A in the SYRACUSE market. In the UTICA-ROME-LITTLE FALLS market, GALAXY will also assume the ESPN RADIO affiliation; it presently runs a Sports format on trimulcast WTLB-A-WIXT-A-WRNY-A as "1310 THE GAME."
CITADEL OM TOM MITCHELL told CNYRADIO.COM that WNSS will continue to air BRENT AXE's local "ON THE BLOCK" afternoon show and will announce additional programming to replace ESPN shortly.
GALAXY will also take Spanish-language ESPN DEPORTES RADIO for WSCP-A/SANDY CREEK-PULASKI-SYRACUSE, which will be flipping from a simulcast of Claasic Rock WTKW (TK99).
