PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS syndicated morning host ELVIS DURAN teamed up last month with SOLDIER SOCKS, a non-profit group that collects new socks for troops in IRAQ and AFGHANISTAN. Since then, ELVIS' listeners have sent in over 3,000 pairs of new socks, and the PHILADELPHIA pro sports franchises -- the PHILLIES, EAGLES, FLYERS, and 76ERS -- have gotten involved in the effort as well.
The campaign is continuing, with the most common request being for over-the-calf white tube socks in size large with an elastic top. Send your socks to ELVIS DURAN MORNING SHOW SOCKS FOR SOLDIERS, 305 West Broadway, Box 235, NEW YORK, NY 10013.
