Condolences to family and friends of NEW YORK Oldies concert promoter RICHARD NADER, who died DECEMBER 1st after a long battle with Parkinson's disease in STONY BROOK, LONG ISLAND, NY at 69.
NADER's "Rock And Roll Revival" all-star concerts in the 70's at MADISON SQUARE GARDEN were instrumental in the Fifties revival of the era. One of the shows, a 1971 concert, was the inspiration for RICK NELSON's hit "Garden Party." a response to fans who booed him for playing new music. Other shows formed the basis of the concert film "Let The Good Times Roll."
