Michael Jackson, Loretta Lynn Among Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award Honorees

The GRAMMY AWARDS will honor MICHAEL JACKSON, LORETTA LYNN, BOBBY DARIN, LEONARD COHEN, Jazz great CLARK TERRY, ANDRE PREVIN, and bluesman DAVID "HONEYBOY" EDWARDS with Lifetime Achievement Awards at a special ceremony JANUARY 30th during GRAMMY WEEK, the day before the GRAMMY AWARDS telecast. In addition, NASHVILLE session amusician and former AFM chapter President HAROLD BRADLEY, SCEPTRE RECORDS founder FLORENCE GREENBERG, and GRAMMY telecast director WALTER C. MILLER will be honored with Trustees Awards, and AKG and THOMAS EDISON will be awarded Technical GRAMMYs.
"This year's honorees are a prestigious group of diverse and prominent creators who have contributed some of the most distinguished and influential recordings," said RECORDING ACADEMY President/CEO NEIL PORTNOW. "Their outstanding accomplishments and passion for their craft have created a timeless legacy that has positively affected multiple generations, and will continue to influence generations to come. It is an honor and privilege to recognize such talented individuals who have had and will continue to have such an influence in both our culture and the music industry."
