RTDNF Awards Scholarships, Fellowships

The RADIO TELEVISION DIGITAL NEWS FOUNDATION has awarded nine scholarships and two fellowships for 2009. 

This year's scholarships:

CARLOS SAUCEDO, UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA: The ABE SCHECHTER Graduate Scholarship
LINA WASHINGTON, ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY: CAROLE SIMPSON Scholarship
JOHN KETCHUM, CENTRAL MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY: ED BRADLEY Scholarship
XORJE OLIVERES, UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS-AUSTIN: GEORGE FOREMAN Tribute To LYNDON B. JOHNSON Scholarship
WILL WRIGHT, UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA: KEN KASHIWAHARA Scholarship
ERIC HUGHEY, CENTRAL MISSOURI UNIVERSITY: LOU & CAROLE PRATO SPORTS REPORTING Scholarship
MANDANA MOFIDE, CITY UNIVERSITY LONDON: The PETE WILSON Journalism Scholarship
JENNIFER RIZZI, BUCKNELL UNIVERSITY: President's Scholarship
JOHN SANTUCCI, HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY:  President's Scholarship
 
TINA MARTIN of MEREDITH CBS affiliate WFSB-TV/HARTFORD has been awarded the 2009 JACQUE MINNOTTE Health Reporting Fellowship, and ANA ALLEN of SOLDIERS RADIO AND TELEVISION has been awarded the VADA and Col. BARNEY OLDFIELD National Security Reporting Fellowship.
 
In addition to a cash award, winners will receive a complimentary RTDNA membership and an expense-paid trip to RTDNA@NAB in LAS VEGAS APRIL 11-14.
