ENTERCOM Adult Hits WNTR (THE TRACK)/INDIANAPOLIS abruptly dropped its all-holiday music programming TODAY at 12:30p (ET) and re-introduced itself as "MY 107.9 ... We play everything you want."
The first three songs it played were JOURNEY's "Don't Stop Believing'," GEORGE MICHAEL'S "Freedom 90" and MCFADDEN & WHITEHEAD'S "Ain't No Stopping Us Now."
"If you're over 30 to 45, to 54, you've had no place to hear all the MEGA hits in one place," ENTERCOM INDIANAPOLIS VP/GM JENNIFER SKJODT said. "That’s the magic of MY107.9. We play EVERYTHING from 1981-1993, to older songs like JOURNEY and QUEEN; to even the best new songs from stars like TAYLOR SWIFT. Don't be surprised to hear MADONNA, BON JOVI, REM, PRINCE, AEROSMITH, DURAN DURAN and THE SPIN DOCTORS. We also take requests and REALLY play them! If someone wants to hear 'Afternoon Delight' from the ANCHOR MAN movie, we'll play it! You know if we get a request for the BLACK EYED PEAS or KC & THE SUNSHINE BAND, we'll play that too! I mean, we REALLY play EVERYTHING!"
"Most radio stations limit their appeal by playing only a certain style or specific era of music; but the reality is we all like to hear a variety," ENTERCOM INDIANAPOLIS Dir./Operations & Programming SCOTT SANDS added. "The same person can enjoy rock, pop, dance, even country! So, we've built a destination where you can find U2, GARTH BROOKS, MICHAEL JACKSON and maybe even FRANK SINATRA every once in awhile. 107.9 will always be fresh, fun, and familiar."
