WKRL Hires Candace Curby For Nights

Candace Curby Coming To Syracuse

GALAXY COMMUNICATIONS Alternative WKRL-WKLL (KROCK)/SYRACUSE names CANDACE CURBY for nights, effective JUNE 28th. She replaces TIFF, who exits out of business.

CURBY was previously Promotions Director/on-air swing at CITADEL/HARRISBURG.

WKRL has also announced 15 bands will play at "ROADRUNNER TURBO KROCKATHON 15" on SATURDAY JULY 31st. There will be two side-by-side stages with nonstop music on the Infield at the NEW YORK STATE FAIR with LIMP BIZKIT, AVENGED SEVENFOLD, FLYLEAF, HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD, ED KOWALCYZK formerly the singer of LIVE, ALL THAT REMAINS, HALESTORM, A DAY TO REMEMBER, CRASH KINGS, SMILE EMPTY SOUL, NEW POLITICS, HAIL THE VILLAIN, and local bands chosen through a social networking contest to be announced by KROCK in the upcoming weeks.

WKRL PD NIXON said, "We are excited to wish a happy 15th birthday to the biggest annual summer concert in CENTRAL NEW YORK! For the last 15 years we have worked hard to bring the best bands through the area and we can wait for this year’s show!"
