Dave Lawrence Rises At HPR News

HAWAII PUBLIC RADIO News Director KAYLA ROSENFELD has upped DAVE LAWRENCE to a full time staff member of the News Department. Beginning FRIDAY, JULY 16th, he takes over as the new local host of ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, replacing the retiring JIM MANKE. The NPR news magazine, which covers local, national and international news, is broadcast across the state every afternoon on KHPR/HONOLULU, KKUA/WAILUKU AND KANO/HILO between 4 and 6p.

LAWRENCE also can be heard on SATURDAY mornings when he reports local news headlines on KHPR and KIPO between 5 and 9:30a.

ROSENFELD said, "DAVE brings a new energy to the department, and is a welcome addition to the growing staff."
