LeAnn Rimes Says No To Nashville Star

Country singer LeANN RIMES has announced that she will not be returning as the host of NASHVILLE STAR. According to SUNDAY's (9/25) TENNESSEAN, RIMES says it was too difficult to host the show and maintain her music career. Juggling both jobs was most likely the reason she became ill last year and spent time on doctor ordered vocal rest.

The show's executive producer H.T. OWENS says, "She was a great host and really an artistic inspiration for this past season's show. She remains a friend and supporter of the show, and we will continue to work with LeANN in the future." At this time a new host has not been announced.
