New Antenna Ends Tower Controversy At WFUV/New York

The community uproar over a controversial new antenna for FORDHAM UNIVERSITY's noncommercial WFUV/NEW YORK is over with the construction of a new antenna atop an apartment building owned by the MONTEFIORE MEDICAL CENTER. The station had partially built another tower near the BRONX BOTANICAL GARDEN, but 11 years of community protests left that structure unfinished for years and it will be torn down next SPRING after WFUV begins transmitting from its new tower.
